Klosterdreieck - Round tour

Length: 90 km – recommended as a 5-day tour

Three places form a triangle around the Lake Schaalsee and connect the three great monasteries of Rehna, Zarrentin and Ratzeburg that are in the brick Gothic style.

You go from place to place along the Nonnenweg ("Nuns' Way"), the Bischofsweg ("Bishops' Way") and on the mediaeval pilgrim trails of the abbot Ernestus. Experience a colourful mosaic of forests, lakes, fields and pastures, with small villages with an interesting history here and there.

Walking experiences

History is all around you: brick architecture, village churches, restored stately homes and manor houses and lovingly furnished museums are all part of your holiday experience. On this circular route, you will cross the old border between the two Germanys several times. A diverse range of flora and fauna has developed here and you can see kingfishers, sea eagles and cranes here.
